Recommended Uses
Can be used as a Topcoat for chlorinated rubber anticorrosive systems on steel structures exposed to moderate to severe corrosive environments (including immersion zones). It can also be used as an anticorrosive Topcoat on ship hulls and superstructures.
Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dirt. Surfaces must be assessed and prepared in accordance with ISO 8504.
Cleanliness: Sandblasted to Sa 2 1/2 (ISO 8501-1:1988).
Painted Surfaces
Clean, dry, and undamaged compatible primer.
Application Conditions
The substrate temperature should be at least 3°C above the air dew point. Temperature and relative humidity should be measured near the substrate. Good ventilation is usually required in confined areas to ensure proper drying.
Recommended Applications
Primer: Highly chlorosulfonated polyethylene primer
Intermediate: Highly chlorosulfonated polyethylene micaceous iron intermediate
Topcoat: Highly chlorosulfonated polyethylene Topcoat or modified one-component acrylic Topcoat
Storage
Must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The recommended storage temperature is 15-25°C. The storage environment should be dry, cool, well-ventilated, and away from heat and ignition sources. The container must be kept tightly closed. At 25°C, the product has a shelf life of at least 12 months.
