Glass Flake Epoxy Paint

Basic Characteristics
Excellent water and oil resistance;
Good chemical resistance and rust prevention;
Excellent adhesion, impact resistance, and abrasion resistance;
Excellent resistance to cathodic protection;
A dry film thickness of up to 500µm can be achieved by airless spray application.

Recommended Applications
This paint is suitable for long-term anti-corrosion Coatings on ship bottoms, ballast tanks, dock piles, offshore oil rigs, water gates, mine supports, and pipelines.

Surface Preparation
Steel with scale: Sandblast to Sa2.5 or grind to St3 with a spring-loaded abrasive wheel.
Shop-primed steel: Lightly sandblast or grind to St3 with a spring-loaded abrasive wheel.
Welded, flame-cut, or pyrotechnically corrected burnt areas: Remove weld slag and spatter, smoothen, and then grind to St3 with a spring-loaded abrasive wheel.
Roughness: Use an appropriate abrasive (steel shot/angular sand) to a roughness of 40-85 microns.

Application Conditions
Substrate temperature must not fall below 5°C and must be at least 3°C ​​above the air dew point. Temperature and relative humidity should be measured near the substrate. Good ventilation is often required in confined areas to ensure proper drying.
When overcoating, the paint surface should be dry and free of contamination.

Product Compatibility
Recommended application: 1-2 Paints, achieving a single Paint dry film thickness of 250µm. Primer: Glass flake epoxy paint
Suitable finishes: Polyurethane Topcoat, acrylic paint, polysiloxane Topcoat, fluorocarbon Topcoat, etc.

Storage
Must be stored in accordance with national regulations. The recommended storage temperature is 15-25°C. The storage environment should be dry and well-ventilated. The packaging container must be kept tightly closed.
Shelf life: 12 months at room temperature.
